Yeah he needs shorts and some tees stat anyway
He can shop for pants and hoodies later

I buy all of my sons clothes online at Dicks or on Amazon. I said we are from an UMC neighborhood and my kid happily wears these no brand shorts with a Nike shirt most days. https://www.amazon.com/Amazon-Essentials-2-Pack-Loose-Fit-Performance/dp/B08JLF7JVW/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?c=ts&keywords=Men%27s%2BAthletic%2BShorts&qid=1684103044&refinements=p_89%3AAmazon%2BEssentials&s=apparel&sr=1-1&ts_id=1046660&th=1&psc=1

Jeans are loose, either plain or ripped. Plain hoodie or unbuttoned plaid flannel or Oxford shirt. Converse or Vans. Most of his male friends have a version of this; only one seems like he work hard to distinguish himself with some quirky styles. The girls have more distinctive, trendy styles.

Thank you, where do you guys buy his clothes? Besides Converse/Vans which you already mentioned

I buy most of his clothes at H&M and Gap from the ”big kids”, teen, and men’s or women’s department these days. Both have good quality 100% cotton t-shirts that hold up well and the denim is decent. For summer, he wants dark-color cargo shorts (so he can carry keys, phone, wallet easily) and few pairs of plain-front, chino-style shorts.
