You must have a little tiny rat dog. Shock collars are great when training large dogs. But I guess you wouldn’t mind being attacked by a Rottweiler or put bull that’s not been trained to obey.

In the US there's 4.5million dog attacks on humans per year versus 22k in the UK. That might have some baring on this.

I'm an electric collar user. It is MORE HUMANE for my dog, given that otherwise he wouldn't be able to walk in the neighborhood. People like OP don't get it, and that's fine, but don't call us cruel and horrible humans. We're not. We do the best with the dogs we have.
