Things to do in Boston with tweens: not art or shopping!

If you read your kids Make for Ducklings when they were smaller, go see the statue of the ducks. Totally the highlight of my trip there!

You can do whale watching boat by the aquarium.

+1. Ghosts and Gravestones is SO much fun for a nighttime activity.

I just took my teen to Boston. We did the Public Garden and Boston Common, walked the Freedom Trail, spent time in Cambridge, went to Newbury Street, ate at Mikes Pastry, Regina Pizzeria and Mr. Bartley’s (burgers in Cambridge), hit up various university bookstores for fun browsing, and went to a Bruins game (after spending a lot of time and money in the pro shop…I know OP said no shopping but if the kids are sports fans this could still be fun).

I’d already been to the aquarium and knew my kid would find it lacking. The Ghosts and Gravestones and Duck Boat tours looked interesting but we didn’t have time in our schedule.
