My older family members wear black veils for funerals though I do not. But would still feel comfortable veiling in this.

Neckline might be a bit low for a well-endowed woman.

This is a terrible suggestion for a funeral dress. It is a black lace cocktail dress. SMH.

+1
WTF?

DP. But what’s wrong with that?

Were you raised in a barn?

No. I haven’t been to a lot of funerals. I thought any black dress that’s not too revealing would be ok…geez

Sorry for your loss, OP.
How about a sleeveless dress with a cotton shrug sweater? That way, you’ll be able to be comfortable if it’s a hot day and there are outside gatherings after the service.
This website is not high fashion but has lots of suitable, comfortable options with reasonable prices. I’ve ordered from it and the quality is pretty good.
Choose the black option:

With this shrug:

The site has other suitable, comfortable options in navy, also. It seems as if the all-black tradition for funerals has faded a bit.
I hope the memorial brings comfort to the family and friends.

Sweetheart necklines are actually most flattering for busty women (I’m a 48B who shared this dress)

Maybe this, though I'm not sure if you will like the neckline.

Though as someone who buried her father in KY in June, I urge you to reconsider the 3 /4 sleeves in favor of short sleeves with a sweater or wrap. It's can be so, so hot. Especially if there is any graveside service.

Like maybe this with a sweater for inside the church (is that why you want your elbows covered?)

Do you have to wear tights with these dresses?

I’m sorry for your loss of your dad, PP.

I like the dress you recommended. It looks perfect. It’ll be very hot as it’s in Louisiana but there’s no graveside service it’ll just be visitation and funeral indoors and the columbarium is in the church so we really won’t be outside at all.

Thank you, everyone for the recommendations. Many great options I just ordered the one above.

Good question! Op here: what do others think? I’d rather not since it’ll be hot but for a fairly formal (it’s for an elderly relative who was pretty proper and knowing this side of my family I just think it’ll be more formal than casual) church funeral?

Thank you for your condolences. I like the dress option you shared too.

OP we just had a family funeral in a cold weather locale a few weeks ago & the older women (25+) wore tights or sheer black stockings; the younger women (teens) had bare legs. Formal family & in the northeast, though, so your situation might be different.

My condolences on your loss.

Also, I know you just ordered a dress but if you don't like how it fits, here's one more:
