I'm not sure about that either. Seems pretty British. Maybe I'll substitute bacon for the beans.

I’ll make coronation chicken salad.

Anyone else have plans for the coronation meal?

Gross. The entire British monarchy is gross.

I'll have scones, tea and then Queen Elizabeth's favorite chocolate cake. I don't care for fruitcake, which is supposedly Charles' favorite.

Well look, sometime during the day our diet must include scotch — to toast the UK, the second greatest democracy in history. My diet will include lots of scotch, neat. Long live the king! Don’t be sourpusses.

Interesting idea/ not a fan of Charles; I guess I should have baked scones to honor Queen Elizabeth- now she was something!

It's the same day as the Kentucky derby, so could be a fun food day just for something different.

Am i crazy for actually considering ordering from Fortnum&Mason? probably.

Nope. What are you going to order?
I also think bean quiche is a mistake, as does most of Britain, so interested in doing something else.

Americans celebrating with spotted dick or toad in the hole would probably cause some forehead veins to bulge in Buckingham.
