If Biden were to call every gunshot victim in the US, that's all he'd be doing all day long. The KC case was noteworthy because it had the added element of appearing to be a hate crime (the prosecutor said it had a racial element) and Blacks are statistically the most likely victims of hate crimes in the US (look it up--it's a fact). If the white family that was shot at with the 6 yr old daughter turn out to be victims of a hate crime (i.e, shot at because of their race), then the shooter should be charged with a hate crime on top of all the other charges.

If it is proven to be a hate crime (each state has their own definition), then the perpetrators should be charged for that on top of assault. But I think you already know that, on average, most victims of hate crimes are not white so while this is an appalling story, it is not typical.

And I’ll add that violent criminals like him being released from prison instead of locked up for life is one of the reasons we will never get rid of guns. People want to be able to protect themselves against criminals like him.
