Personally I'd look into a Honda or Toyota. Even if they have over 100k miles, they should last forever.

Look at Penfed true car buying service online and plug in price (5K), miles, etc.
You can see what is available at all local dealerships.
It even rates the cars as "fair buy", " good buy", "excellent buy", etc.
