Dead Poet Society is not a college movie. It’s set in a boarding school.

Dear White People (2014)--both serious and funny, it will definitely start a conversation.

Perfect Score (2004)--not a great movie, but fun enough if you haven't seen it. Mainly of interest b/c it includes Scarlett Johannson and Chris Evans (his first movie!) in fairly minor roles.

I've got a good one! It's about a family taking their daughter off to school... The Mitchells vs the Machines.

You mean The Graduate? Great film

I remember 2 John Cusack movies I saw in the 80's when I was in college - haven't seen them in years, don't know if they've aged well.

It came out in 1978. My kids grandparents graduated college in 1962 and were long past their collegiate heydey by then.
