+1 SU has some really competitive programs for certain majors that are very difficult to get into. The people on this board just generalize universities according to the “overall” acceptance rate and can have no clue about certain programs simply because their kid isn’t looking into them.

Syracuse has very high average student debt of grads, as does Pitt (Pitt does or did have the highest average student loan debt in the US).

Syracuse over admitted post-COVID due to all the uncertainty which is why it’s had a high admit percentage. But last year they ended up with over 200 more freshmen than anticipated so I bet the admit rate will drop.
My kid is there and I feel good about the education he is getting.
