Seriously? Had to be a troll. Or someone incredible cringey. |
UIUC? The one in Illinois? That is a total nerd school. |
“Maximize her chances” means pick the popular house at every opportunity |
I think it's extremely difficult at SEC schools. I know a few girls who were rejected last year. (smart, outgoing, pretty girls from the DC area). |
Correction: UNpopular - most unpopular |
Tell your daughter to start building her social media presence sophomore year of HS.
I’m not joking. |
and the state flagship |
The level of competitiveness varies tremendously by school. You can’t really lump them together by conference. |
this and almost every single girl will get into a sorority. It is very rare for a girl to be dropped from all (as opposed to dropping out of rush because she didn’t get her top choice). Fraternity rush, however, is a different beast. There no guarantees, no chapter has to take any certain number, and you either match what they’re looking for or you don’t. Most frats only take who they really want, and if that means taking fewer guys one year, so be it. |
speaking of Big10 and ACC, how does this apply to sororities and frats and Duke and Northwestern? Any difference or pretty much the same? |
My daughter doesn't want to go this type of schools. |
what is UIUC? |
You can’t make generalizations between colleges like that. Every sorority is completely different at every college. There are plenty of colleges where Theta is the bottom sorority. |
By no means is it known for having competitive sororities. At all. |
Wow, such an insightful, helpful comment that really moves this discussion forward. Thanks so much for being here today. |
