That's so last century. More interested by which school got the most into MIT, Cal Tech and Berkeley. |
Amazing there's actually a list that's accurate! |
Wheaton had the best college acceptances in MCPS. They provide a list at the end of the year where kids were accepted and last year it was stunning -- CalTech, MIT (2), Stanford, Princeton, Duke, Cornell, Swarthmore... they were all there, in multiples. |
๐ RM is 24% Asian. |
polarlist only screens for 3 schools โ says a lot who would create and look at that list. The only interesting school they rank is MIT. That was a Easter of my 60 seconds. |
| Waste, not Easter (autocorrect error) |
| How about Quince Orchard HS? I am looking into house that zoned to there, and I have asian middle schooler that does well in GPA. |
Actually JW MS has 14% Asians - only school that feeds into RM. So you can see how many asians are actually in the IB program to bring the entire student body up to 24% Meanwhile Robert Frost MS has 42% Asians and Wootton has 36% Asians. So clearly the top Asian performers left for magnets. sit down please |
What are you going on about? That was in response to the PP saying Asians and whites were being discriminated against, which is why Wootton does poorly. Per that logic, RM should do badly too. |
Any chance race plays a factor and gives the students an advantage? |
| Wheaton also got 3 acceptances into Johns Hopkins last year. |
I guess Harvard and Princeton are not interesting schools
|
| Some of the kids getting into these higher level schools arenโt posting. DD has two friends going to MIT, neither have posted nor do they intend to. I suppose when the data comes out it will be clear. |
A college counselor once told us that. You want to get your kid into a top school? Move to a northern mid west state |
Why is the data old? They havenโt updated for 2021 and 2022 admission cycles? |
