Do you bring your own food to the movies?

DH brings in candy but we buy the popcorn.

Can you explain why you feel the "need to eat" during a 90-120 minute movie? Why can't you go that long without eating?

Can you explain why you’re policing how most people enjoy the movies? I get saying you don’t want to eat but questioning a very normal common practice of eating in a theater is like you’re trying to prove a point. Is eating during a movie *really* that hard to comprehend?

Only bottled water.

Candy and water bottles, of course I do. And I don't feel a moment's guilt for it.

I do, and I know it's wrong but I can't digest any of the concession stand food. And movies are so long these days, I can't go without food or water for 3 hours.

Snacks/candy/water are part of the fun of going to the movies but the food there is too expensive so we bring our own. Now we could power through without eating but why?

No hot coffee, though!

I'm not the PP, but not everyone eats right before they go to a movie. Some of us lead busy, active lives and perhaps find ourselves heading out to enjoy a movie hours after the last time we ate. In such instances it's helpful to have a snack in case we become hungry during the movie.

Candy and bottled water, yes. We buy soda and popcorn there.

Damn, now I want popcorn!

No wonder movie theaters have difficulty staying afloat. So many people openly bringing in outside food that's expressly forbidden. SMH. I know it's expensive, but when we go, we save up so we can afford it.

Sometimes-- not often

I'm ghetto. I've always brought a few snacks in my purse.

It's a family tradition. My older cousin used to babysit me and my siblings and take us with her "movie purse," when giant diaper-bag-size purses were apparently a thing in the late 80s. She could fit a couple bags of chips and a 20-piece nugget box in there, with room for drinks.

No. Only water. I go to the movies to eat movie popcorn.

We'd pop popcorn at home and drive to the movies 2 minutes away. Popcorn is still warm and doesnt cost $10.

We don't "need to eat". We generally do not eat candy or buttered popcorn, so having this at the movie theater is part of the fun of going there. And to answer PPs question, sometimes we buy it there, sometimes we bring it. It's cheaper and smaller portions to bring it, but again, sometimes it is just part of the fun to get it there.
