Sidwell 9th grade waitlist movement?

If your backup option is a public school, you might be in a better position than others to take a spot should it open at the last min (i.e. June 1st when other parents had to commit to private schools).

We got off the waitlist at Sidwell (not 9th...it was for a lower school spot), but wouldn't have been able to accept had they called post June 1st because we are not financially able to pay two tuitions. I imagine that backing out of Walls wouldn't be the same burden.

For some people, the fact that Roosevelt, Nixon (meh), Clinton, Obama and Biden’s offspring attended Sidwell is a big difference. People can like what they like.

Just got an email from Sidwell saying that enrollment is full and asking whether we wanted to remain on the wait pool. I imagine they send that to everyone.

Yup. Doesn’t sound promising. But they do have the later admissions cycle
so who knows?

I would let admission know that you will take the spot, should it open, even if it is after June1. then keeping calling to check in.
