False. The Shoe is only closed for most of the federal holidays and then 2-3 professional days - nothing like the MCPS calendar.

Are you kidding? And what do you do when you Nanny is sick or has to go somewhere due to an emergency or needs to go overseas unexpectedly due to an emergency in her country? It’s a nightmare. At least at a center they have enough staff to cover such instances so we can still work.

Not really.

Our daycare center is literally located inside a public school and they usually are open when the public school is not except for big holidays like Christmas, Thanksgiving, Labor Day etc. As far as inclement weather they only close of administrative offices are closed. This center is part of a local company that operates a few daycare centers in MoCo.

Our family daycare closed for a total of 3 weeks (paid) for summer and Christmas break, in addition to all the federal holidays. We either had to take time off or find backup care.

Looking at this location- any current input on teacher tenure and outdoor space and time? Do families with older kids feel like they are prepared for KG?

Any idea on the waitlist for 2/3s?

Thanks!
