😳 Terrible decisions by so called administrators and leaders. They should replace them. |
No, it’s not hard at all. There are crazy people in other countries, kids who are expelled from a school or suspended, kids who misbehave snd so on. The difference is that other countries dont swim in guns. Crazy kids still in high school cannot buy them and it’s a lot less likely that they can find them at home. So, hum, yes it is not hard to talk about gun control because it actually works. |
| America cares more about gun rights than people’s lives, OP. The conservatives and many liberals in Congress do not care that people are dying. |
they could jail people for gun crimes and have prevented this shooting |
They gave the kid probation so obviously gun possession is no biggie there. Then the school sent who....the gym teachers to do pat downs? No one takes it seriously. |
I don’t know much about juvenile law so I can’t comment. But I leave it to conservatives to look for anything BUT the most obvious answer. Meanwhile Americans keep dying from an easily solved problem. It wasn’t always like this. 2nd Amendment folks assist murderers. Hell of a job, you’re doing! *slow clap* |
The most obvious answer is to deal with those who are breaking the law. Here we have a person who was found with a ghost gun just two years prior, was on probation for this crime, was expelled from his school, and yet it seems he was free to go about his business with a daily pat down being the only intervention. How about we come down hard on those caught with illegal guns? Or, does this not meet with the definition of "restorative justice?" Instead, we put innocent lives - all those who attended and worked at the school - in danger so that THIS kid could have his freedom. |
You’re not very bright if that’s what you find to be the obvious answer. But I understand, you conservatives have created a monstrous situation and must double-down. Sad! The 2nd amendment put innocent lives at risk because you care more about your personal right to own military grade weapons than innocent lives. Admit it! You care more about guns than 1st graders being massacred. |
Straw man. This guy had a pistol. No "military grade weapon" in this story. He had a record, though. A record that involved a gun crime. And, was free to commit more crimes. |
Sure. Whatever. |
It’s like how they won’t admit that the maternal mortality rate is going up because of abortion bans resulting in inadequate healthcare. |
Exactly! |
what gun law? He already broke gun laws and they didn’t punish him. Then he broke gun laws again while on probation for his prior gun law violation |
So your answer is what? Because my answer is to get rid of guns. Your answer is to get rid of the kid- and go where? on whose dime? for how long? Breaking a gun law doesn't meet the threshold over his rights. |
He has no right to have a gun in the first place. He is a minor. He was a criminal. And, the "system" seemed to be more concerned with the rights of this criminal than the rights of others. And, so do you. And, your answer is to take firearms away from law abiding citizens because criminals have them. So, let's say that happens..... Who will be the ones with firearms then? You think criminals are going to turn in their firearms? |
