I actually agree with your mom.
Dr’s are not all that amazing or magical and they make mistakes / bad decision all the time. They play the odds and don’t treat the individual. Just had knee replacement surgery… asked to use patella instead of hamstring. Dr gave all kinds of reasons to do hamstring, did it, tore hamstring. I knew he was wrong and should have demanded to do the surgery the way I wanted. Dr#2 said it back problems and to strengthen core, wrong… dislocated pelvis. Dr #3 I asked for nutritionist to explain unresolved weight loss and stomach pains in my child, he ran allergy test and said “no teen needs a nutritionist” … a year later got a nutritionist and identified foods that was causing stomach pains and some allergies the dr missed. Don’t even get me started about “doctors” who work in college campus clinics. |
