evict occupants before I have the deed

Anonymous
you don't own it so you can't force it. You could offer them money and see if they'd move out--but they can say no. Just like if some random person who doesn't own my house offered me money to get me out--it's up to me to decide.

No reasonable judge would award OP possession. If they do, get ready for some serious lawsuits.

Where is this condo, OP? In DC you won't be able to evict even after you have the deed unless you are planning to live there yourself.

And you have no rights before you own it.

You want to evict people from a property you don't own, haven't paid for, and have at present no interest in?

That's a surefire way to make sure your soon to be new-to-you condo is trashed. Good luck.

If they trash it can’t that help op get possession?

It's not OPs property to possess. At this point the squatters and OP have the same rights.

You people have a lot of time on your hands

I think wanting a house to be vacant and free of squatters the moment you own it is reasonable.

But OP probably won't be able to have that.

DP. OP paid a discounted price for not having a home free of squatters the moment they own it. Wanting to evict tenants from a property you don't own is delusional.

Dude—if you have t completed the same worry more about the interest you need to pay then being a slumlord

The worst that can happen is that you sign forms asserting a right in a property that you have no right to and someone notices and refers your perjury to the district attorney's office
