Yes, never use Costco because the customer pandemic was a completely normal situation…

Because nothing ever goes wrong in vacation. Hope those savings were worth it when you really need help!

Everywhere was a mess during the pandemic! Expedia, Delta, all the travel companies.

+1. I’m still trying to figure out what that PP meant: who exactly could anyone call in late March 2020??

You can go read the FB pages for one about the insane hold times.

When it hit, I placed one call to my travel agent who took care of everything. Now he is so busy, he isn’t taking on any new clients at all.

Yes I no longer bother searching other sites for rental cars.

Same. And it includes a second driver which works well for us.

I’ve used them multiple times and had no issues reaching them. Yes, waits were long during the pandemic but it was like that everywhere! American Airlines was 8 hrs! Everyone was swamped. I saved thousands using them for Tahiti and Hawaii.

I always use them for rental car, almost always cheaper than I can find on other sites.

Used it twice for hotels. Got room upgrade and a resort credit from booking thru Costco.

Is cosco travel something that you need a separate membership for, or is it included in a regular membership?

So, your travel agent sat on hold for you.

Does anyone know of any Costco travel that works with a family of five? I've searched a few places several times but if we are looking for one room nothing populates from the search. The kids are small so a single room, suite, or even two bedroom is better for us than two separate rooms. Anyone have any luck?

I think it really depends on where you are going. We are a family of six, and I have found rooms in Disney, Costa Rica, Mexico, Hawaii, etc. when I've searched (although I haven't booked those places yet--just looking around) but not in other places like Europe where rooms for 6 people are in short supply or non-existent.

Sometimes yes, sometimes no. Like anything, you have to comparison shop. It is definitely not always the best deal.

Tell us the destination OP.

Chances are us Costco dcumers have btdt.

Disney was the same price for us w/o Costco, but Costco offered us a $50 Duaney gift card and a $100 Costco gift card. So we booked via Costco.

Our ski trips (via Epic), cheaper a la cart on our own. We used airline miles, late season Airbnb rental, Turo for car rental, etc.

Where are you going Op? Cruise? Looking for a package deal?

Just bought an all-inclusive package to Mexico. The entire thing including flights and hotel transfer was as much as booking the hotel alone through their website!
