Did you have an opportunity to provide more info (200 words or less)?

Was this something they offered your child or family? For what grade?

PP here. I should clarify, that occurred for a different school. I haven't clicked on the SAES link.

Are you serious? Every child from my DC K-8 has always been accepted. No one has ever been waitlisted. It has always been a safety school.

Smug SOB, aren’t you?

It seems impossible for some posters to change with the times.

Schools are not static institutions.

PP can be smug and miserable while others are happy with schools PP wouldn't step foot in.

We have been both waitlisted AND rejected in the past (2 different kids).

Accepted for 9th, but pretty sure we'll be declining.

Waiting List? or waiting pool?

Waiting pool. This is common place for the privates in this area and I actually think the most of the privates nationwide I’m talking about using wait pools instead of a true wait list.

Can’t you take at least one day off from being snarky and sarcastic. Many people were waitlisted or rejected at everywhere they applied. This was an extremely tough year. Why on earth would you want to try and make people feel worse about being waitlisted? Just stop.

DC is at a K-8 and they told families not bank on St. Andrew’s as a safety school. There are other larger schools that admit more students and are considered a more reliable for admissions as long as the student doesn’t have any red flags.

What is the "DC k-8" you're talking about?

We are releasing a spot at SAES for 9th. I imagine that there will be movement on the waitlist. Good luck!

No, I'm just a Troll. The truth is, my life didn't turn out like I hoped. All those kids I polled back in the day at my elite DC K-8, they don't really like me. So I come here to try to fill a void. But it's not working.
