I didn’t know Boden had a teen section so I took a look and no, none of these things work for a 12 year old who is already cognizant of styles being babyish. Come on.

Holy cow I can’t believe they sell that in tween sizes!

I’m the first Athleta poster. My 11. Year old would have loved this Boden suit at age 4. She would not wear that for anything now at 11. Come on. OP started with the concern of girls’ suits being too babyish.

Yeah the ES moms heading into the tween years need to let go of Boden, Tea and Hanna. They are too babyish for tweens, full stop.

+1 for my 13 yo. Once in a while costco has tankini Speedos and she will wear those.

Why are you arguing? She’s agreeing with you. No tween would be caught dead in that suit.

Not for generous coverage

They have a full range of suit styles.

My kid will be 12 this summer. She's slim but definitely needs cups or something supportive up top.

4'11 about 77 lbs. Any suggestions? Last year she wore Lands End swimsuits when we hung at the pool and a Speedo for swim team.

The Speedo also didn't have a liner or support at the top....do competition suits have those?

They have a cute high waisted bottom and sort of sports bra style top in a lot of color combinations. It looks kind of retro but not baby or like a functional tank style.

+1. This is the one my 12 yo has. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B087LXN797?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title&th=1

I'm OP and thank you all for the links and suggestions.

This tween stage is hard! The teen/young adult styles are sometimes too mature, and the girl styles too babyish. The girl suits are still so cute.

You have to filter for the full coverage styles, they do exist.

We are in Florida and we get the surf suits at Of One Sea. They have kids sizes but truth be told we get adult xs or s for my 100 lb ten year old. It is a super trendy cool lol for the beaches here but i don’t know if it would work in your pools etc up North.

I will say my friends daughter with Autism loves these suits. It's been great for the parents to get them in larger sizes.

Someone suggested Rad Swimwear to me. I haven't bought anything from them but the suits look cute.
