Wirecutter liked these Frontgate towels best in their most recent review, and they do a pretty good job on the comparative analysis so I'd feel pretty confident in buying these: https://www.frontgate.com/frontgate-resort-collection-26trade-3b-bath-towels/18414
We got towels from, of all places, JC Penney after they got a high rating on Wirecutter a couple years ago, and they've been great. Unfortunately, I don't think they make the same towels anymore, or maybe the quality has declined, as they are no longer mentioned in the Wirecutter review. Oh, I'll also note that while not the softest or best quality, we got some gorgeous but very affordable towels for our kids' bathroom and powder room from the Opal House line Target and I always get compliments on them. It's not what I'd want to use daily but my kids care more about having "cool" looking towels than having really soft, high quality, and for the powder room we just wanted something with a pop of color and pattern in an otherwise pretty basic room. We bought them all on clearance, too, so it wound up like less than $5 a towel. So now I recommend that brand to anyone looking for decorative or kids towels. |

We love these towels from Costco. I've had them for years and they're still soft whereas more expensive ones have turned scratchy. I always get the white (doesn't fade like colored ones and you can bleach if there is staining) and I always get the bath sheet size because it's more comfortable and roomy. Guests have commented on how nice the towels are. I can afford much more expensive towels, but I like these the best.

We gs e these frontgate and they are amazing |
I have the Charisma towels from Costco and like them. I also have Mirabella from Costco. They are both nice and soft after many washings, but the Mirabella don't seem to absorb water like the Charisma towels. |
| Someone here recommended Kassatex and I bought some - they’re amazing! |
Sweetheart, OP asked for best affordable towels. Unless you have a recommendation to share, shut the F up. |
I'm a fan (not sure if I'm the recommender you're thinking of, but they're my favorites) |
| We have Charisma towels that must be at least 10 years old and are still in great shape. Last time I looked in the store though I thought Costco was carrying a different brand. |
