Everyone here is trolling. |
Arrived in the mail today. DS made 99th percentile. He said the test was easy plus his RSM program ran free webinars to prepare for the test. Relieved. |
Good luck if he gets Mr. Huang at LMS. One of the hardest and best teachers in FCPS. |
+1 poor kid. Just because they teach with a Russian accent doesn’t make it better. Typical scam. What’s really going on is that they are merely teaching the same math but just earlier and faster. |
When did they switch from using 8th grade SOL to 7th grade SOL? |
Got ours yesterday. DC scored 99 percentile. |
My kid did not pass, which I expected. He has adhd and we don't have a time accommodation. He told me he didnt finish the first two sections since he didn't realize how fast 10 mins would go by. He's young for his grade and so don't need our 11 year old doing high school algebra. We obviously did not prep. |
So did mine. Apparently this really is Lake Wobegon! |
Between this and the Haycock response, it looks like the McLean pyramid has released their results already. Interesting that they're sending it home with the kids; I thought it would be mailed to our house. |
PP here - FWIW, we are in the Marshall pyramid and have not gotten our results yet. Given that some areas of Fairfax County are receiving them already I'm going to assume we should anticipate getting them soon. |
Thank you for your honest response. Like someone else mentioned, I think most of the people posting here have kids who scored high and it may not be representative of most or all who took the IAAT, so take heart. When we went to our MS orientation/tour, the math teacher there actually said she'd prefer kids hold off on Algebra until 8th. |
Different pyramid (Robinson, cue the IB hate), but ours came via email. |
Ours was Hayfield and came home in Wednesday folders. |
Waiting.... waiting... waiting... Oakton Pyramid |
ours missed it and is quite upset at it - qn - what is the sequence of math now till HS provided he is in Math 7 Honors? |
