Good luck- the wait is hard! |
Thank you so much for chiming in! -OP |
| Has anyone heard from a high school? It’s frustrating that middle school is moving, but not high schools?? |
| This was a few years ago, but my DC who had been waitlisted for CAP was offered a spot two weeks before school started (and accepted it). Blair was our home school, which made this an easy decision. |
Middle school decisions came out a few weeks before high school I think. |
| My son is on 2 wait pool lists, Poolesville SMCS and Humanities. We haven’t heard anything yet. Does anyone know if they have started inviting from the waitpools yet ? Thanks. |
I just posted in another thread. Have you heard anything at all? We got a rejection of a level 1 appeal for a house that my DC was in a waitpool for. Not sure what it means or if kid has somehow been removed from the waitpool. |
| We have heard nothing at all. No correspondence whatsoever. |
They were two days apart this year. I know because my younger kid got his middle school magnet offer on the Tuesday and my older kid got his offers on the Thursday two days later (Feb 2, I think). |
|
we were in 2 wait pools, we went ahead and appealed, but they rejected our level 1 appeal for both of them. Does it mean we are now removed from the wait pool or do we still have a chance?
|
Were both of those wait pools at Poolesville programs? |
| Yes both at poolesville, why? |
Curious where people are hearing back from, but also trying to figure out who is responsible for making these decisions on appeals. |
| does anyone know how kids are chosen from wait pool, Child is in 99% in MAP M and 92% in MAP R, do they stand a chance, grades all upper A's |
The level one rejections came from the selecting committee from Poolesville. The directions contain instructions for a level two appeal to MCPS. |
