This is splitting hairs- op is right that not a word about climate has been heard yet. |

| Local politicians can do nothing on climate other than make their constituents lives worse. Op is an idiot for voting for Moore on climate issues. |
You are a sad and pathetic person. Get a life. |
Brown is the AG. He lost the gubernatorial election a few years ago. |
NP. Wow, you are a boiling storm of negativity. Why are you trying to squelch discussion about a pol addressing the climate emergency? You sound like you have serious mental health issues. |
You clearly have not read his State of the State address. Just skimming through this thing for 30 seconds and I have already identified a number of priorities that he outlined there: - “Prioritize Equity, Labor and Justice”: He has a big economic justice initiative that includes accelerating phase-in of the $15 minimum wage statewide. - “Incentivize the electrification of personal and public vehicles”: Funding has been restored for excise tax exemption of new BEVs under $50k starting July 1 and he has committed to ensuring this is funded throughout his term. - “Invest in cleaner public transit”: He has been talking a lot about the Baltimore Red Line, appointed Wiedelfeld as head of MDOT and is committed to working with the county on I-270 expansion options to include BRT. It seems that you are just not paying attention. |
You sound like the one ranting. |
You sound ill informed and corny. |
| Honestly, rather than a bunch of people anonymously yelling at each other, I would genuinely like to hear more about various climate initiatives going on in Maryland- not sure why everyone is so incensed? Thanks for the people who posted some of the actions taken so far, but it would be great if we could be civil about it |
Very civilly, if this issue is so important to you why are you not actively seeking information about it instead of asking random people who may also not know anything to inform you? If you want to know what the state is up to as of right now, the link below is the best place. Otherwise, it would be recommended to wait until summer once the legislative session is over and Gov. Moore’s team has had some time to better develop their climate policy agenda. https://mde.maryland.gov/programs/Air/ClimateChange/MCCC/Pages/index.aspx |
