Front License Plates

Which is what I did until DC parking meter maids started ticketing me for it, so I installed one on the front of my Tesla using one of those no drill kits. I think it actually made it look better than without!

When I received my new Tesla - it had the front tags installed. Why do people take them off?

What Tesla? I’m on my 3rd X. The first 3 had front plates and the recent one does not. I just got my permanent plates and emailed Tesla asking what to do as there are not even holes? They gave me screws but no holes. I’m on VA - help!

I refuse to put my front plate on. I have a very cool car and will not litter it up with that trash. DC does ticket me if I park on the street. How ironic my own state of VA does not give a crap but DC will nickel and dime you while they let criminals run free on the street. Probably I would have less chance of my car getting fined if it was stolen by a vibrant urban youth. Thank you DC

I noticed dozens of cars today without front license plates (VA cars in VA)

Is it to evade stoplight cameras?

Don't the cameras take pics of the back of the vehicle? They want to nab NC, WV, and PA cars, too.

I don’t put front plates on any of my 3 cars in VA. But I have it on my wife’s car.

Just curious but why? Is it an aesthetic thing?

Another Virginian that got a DC parking ticket for no front plate - I had just gotten the car in Pennsylvania, which does not require front plates. Never had a problem in Virginia.

You are only required to follow the law of the state where the vehicle is registered.

Fragile little egos that try to convince themselves they’re above the law.
