If you like introspective British bands, Elbow is the band you want. I once saw it written that Elbow is the band Coldplay wishes they could be, and that’s probably accurate. Saw them at the 9:30 Club in the Before Times and they were fantastic.

Anyone putting Coldplay in the same category as U2 should keep their thoughts to themselves.

Ryder cracked me up - but you have to admit when the beat drops on "Fix You" --- it is an epic moment. Minute 2:50.

Like many bands who hang around too long, they have run out of ideas and have descended into mediocrity. But to say they were never any good is the worst sort of snooty revisionism, there is a reason that they were huge in the early ‘00s. X and Y is an awesome album, for instance. Yes they aren’t U2, Metallica, or Led Zeppelin. But they also aren’t Limp Bizkit, Train, or the Dave Matthews Band either.

I saw Coldplay live and they put on a great concert.

What do you prefer OP-- some damn country music that all sounds the same?

Anonymous wrote:The Astronaut was a cover Jin’s song which Coldplay co-wrote. Jin was forced to enlist in the military just weeks after it was released and this was only the second live performance of the song. Coldplay members all wore Wootteo pins. The SNL performance represented a deep friendship between BTS and Coldplay, the day before the Grammys and the nomination of their collab song My Universe (which lost).

I will always love Coldplay for their support and protection of BTS, and Jin specifically.

Just watched Coldplay perform on SNL. They are so cheesy & cringe. All their music sounds the same. The lyrics are just so sappy and Chris Martin is such tool.

I’m not usually this negative, but I feel like this has been on my chest for years.

Please share whom you find great...

Paradise is the best breath control and meditation song I know.
