Jack Evans: “DC Must Address Its Crime Issue”

Anonymous
Jack Evans? The same guy who was under an FBI investigation and orchestrated the giveaway of a public school’s playing field to one of the richest private schools in the DMV? What’s he saying about crime?

But he seems to get basic facts wrong. MPD has 3,800 officers, not 3,400.

Is this better?

Yes. Much better. Any day we can go without hearing from Jack Evans is a good day.

Reminds me of the episode of The Simpsons where Sideshow Bob runs against Mayor Quimby and his campaign message is that Mayor Quimby is soft on criminals ... like Sideshow Bob.

The last thing Jack Evans wants is for the city to be tough on crime.

If I’m not in danger of getting shot in the street I can live with some paperwork shenanigans about school playing fields. White collar crime has very little effect on quality of life as compared to violent street crime

*your

You mean to say that white collar crime has very little too do with your quality of life. I'm guessing you can afford a home and health care.

If we cover our eyes and stick our fingers in our ears then violent crime doesn’t exist.

+1 and we can pretend crime isn't so terrible

It was worse 20,000 years ago, much much worse.

Stop complaining or you're a Trumpist

Lmao.

Did they need a slide ruler and advanced calculus to figure this one out?

Until then we will be living in a city where the lives of decent, hard-working people of all races, ethnicities, and ages are not worth as much as the lives of criminals.

In 2024, we can get rid of Robert White, Brooke Pinto, Christina Henderson, Janeese Lewis George and Trayon White.

You will have to ask for election changes before then. The way we run our elections , people with name recognition and a surprisingly slim amount of the vote take all. There have been folks clamoring for change for years

Here is an explanation. Otherwise, incumbents or folks with name recognition (who let's face it often have extreme views and small, but vocal support) take the pie with a slim lead and no one else can even get a foot in the race.
