How to keep waffles crispy (no oven)

Not sure if this is practical. Can you make them beforehand and let them cool completely. At your venue you can heat them up in the pan, crisping them up a bit. Like I said, I've never done this with waffles, but I do reheat pizza this way and the crust is crispy.

Oops, saw that there was no stove. If you have access to an outlet, you could bring one of those single burner stove things and use a pan:

Or would it be possible to put the waffles back in the waffle maker to crisp it up?

Try a yeasted waffle recipe. They stay much crispier for longer than a standard buttermilk/baking power type of recipe.

You can reheat/re-crisp the waffles on the hot waffle iron for 15-20 seconds. I do this at home all the time, as the chef is usually the last to eat.

Only DCUM. "I can't use a toaster". DCUM answer? "Use a toaster". "I have to make waffles." DCUM answer? "Don't make waffles".
Its predictable at this point.

Because it is a typical DCUM question. I want to do something that logically I know won’t work. How do I make it work?
