| I spend about $400-500/month at Costco and then spend around $80/week at the grocery store filling in gaps. Family of four with two teen girls - one eats a good amount and the other doesn’t. We also probably spend $80/week on two takeout meals. We don’t eat at expensive places (except for special occasions) and we don’t use door dash or Uber eats at all. Way too expensive. |
Oh, I should add, this is all through Giant Delivers. We pay for unlimited deliveries for the year, it's like $100 (not included in the $350 a week total above), and then we tip $12 each week (which is included in the $350 above). |

I have 2 boys in college, they get $125/week.
I spend about $100 on myself/week. |

Family of 3 and about $250/week on groceries. That includes all of our breakfast, lunch about 50% (buy school or office lunch the other days) and maybe 5 nights of dinner with the other 2 being eating out.
I shop around and try to follow sales. Wegmans, Safeway, and Harris Teeter are my regular spots. |

Family of 3:
Grocery: $250 Take out: $50-100 |

Family of 4 and we spend between $200 and $400 a week. Sometimes we manage to plan our meals for a week and I specifically buy for those meals and we save a lot of money that way. Sometimes my ADHD takes over and I buy what looks fun and good and I end up spending a lot of money, still having no idea what to make, and a lot of food waste.
I shop at Trader Joe’s and Lotte. |
| Family of 3 and I scratch cook, buy organic, and we spend about $250 per week (1-2 Whole foods prime deliveries, about every ten days a Fresh delivery). |

Family of four - two young kids, a cat and dog. We spend about $200-$250 a week on food. That includes household and personal care items, like toothpaste and toilet paper, as well as pet care products and food.
The main cost saver is that we don't buy packaged or processed foods or lots meat. We buy mostly fresh veggies (not bagged) and whole foods. I bake or prepare most of our snack foods (muffins, popcorn, etc.). If I bought prepared snack foods our bill would easily be $50 to $100 more. Shop at Safeway and Amazon Fresh. |
| 1 adult/1 tween (who gets free lunch at school). I spend $75 a week + 2/year paper goods and some household items from boxed. This month I've been trying to really shop my pantry and I'm on track to spend $200 instead of $300. |
| 2 adults, one preschooler and one big dog. We spend around $350 per week in groceries. Dog gets a home-made diet so she’s also included in the grocery bill. We shop mainly at Wegmans with some Costco and Trader Joe’s. Most meals are eaten at home. |

Previously a LOT a LOT- way more than we should. More recently, now that I switched to pay period budgeting and tracking each expense, 1000-1100 per month for 2 adults and 1 pre-school kid. Inclusive of PT, TP, dish liquid, laundry detergent, dish detergent, hand soap, etc. First 2 weeks of the year we spent 641 and budgeted 600 but spent $45 on protein powder, which took us over by a bit. Through Feb 2, we have 450 to spend but I will likely be able to keep it under 350. An additional 300-400 on eating out. I would prefer to get that down to $300 max but my DH is awful with buying too much food when we eat out and his bi-weekly lunches with friends are too expensive IMO.
We buy pasture raised eggs, organic meats, organic dirty dozen, and grass fed non-high temp milk. |

2 adults, 4yo, 2yo
$200/wk on groceries $50-100/wk on take out |

We're about the same, I like to eat well. We don't order out that frequently (maybe once every 10 days?).
Family of 5, two kids have lunches provided. I will say I pay a surplus for convenience (snack size of things to keep on the go, kids are 3/5/7) but I cook mostly from scratch. Food prices have gone WAY up though and while I used to not even look I have found myself choosing chicken too, haven't splurged on a steak in quite awhile. |
| Family of five, kids are 5, 7 and 10 and the younger two don't eat much. We spend about $250/week (only counting food and beverage, not other stuff we might buy at the grocery store like paper towels). Shopping split between Costco, Aldi and Safeway. We don't really seek out organic products. |
| A lot. Family of 6 and must pack everyone's lunches/snacks. So I think maybe $400/week all in? We hardly ever order takeout and if we do it's either pizza or ethnic food. Only eat out on special occasions. I shop at Costco/Giant/Aldi/HMart. More chicken, less beef, as someone above mentioned. I am good at shopping sales and have decent storage to stock up when things like cereal etc are on sale. |
