Under $300

If you’re not an adept photographer, walk around and take some closeup photos of buildings and sculptures you like (for example, frame the face of a statue you like). Try to have a reasonably pleasing composition - the shortcut to achieving that will be to have as little else in the frame as possible.

Have two images you like printed in black and white on snapfish or similar, and put them in frames with mats from Michael’s.

Everything looks good in black and white and using a sculpture or sculptural building as the subject matter is a quick and easy way to get something interesting and pleasing to look at.

+1

Also, look on Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist, and at thrift stores. I've found original framed watercolors and oil paintings at thrift stores for <$20.

Consignment and vintage shops also have nice art.

McDonald's will auction off their older pieces from time to time. We've gotten some really nice artwork for cheap.

Under $300

I've been very happy with the framed prints I've gotten at Minted. Looks like ~$300 (before tax and shipping) would get you just one 24 x 30, framed. You could get 2 for under $300 total and then buy your own frames.

Society 6 is decent at a lower price point, framed, but I've found the quality of the frames detracts a bit at the larger sizes.

At that price point you're looking at HomeGoods. Or a thrift store but you won't find matching prints.

Juniper Print Shop sells affordable art specifically made for large IKEA frames - I’d check them out!

Dont rush it. Over time collect things from your travels, things that impact you, get something from your family etc.
