I'm a former oatmeal fan and now eat teff instead - suggested by Dr. Mark Hyman. Instant oats are especially glycemic. I like mixing cooked teff with kefir and fruit to make a porridge |
I always use water in overnight oats and have for years. Usually with some chopped nuts, and maybe some chopped apples or a few raisins and cinnamon. |
I do:
1/2 cup rolled oats 1/2 unsweetened almond milk 1 TBSP of chia seeds 1 TBSP of maple syrup @65-70g of nonfat plain greek yogurt (I use a scale) |
