| Zoned Northwood, ranked Blair first, placed at Northwood |
Same here. Home school is Blair. Ranked Einstein first and Blair second for the same reasons (size, arts focus) and got Einstein. |
Blair envy |
This is an obnoxious response. I'm one of the PPs whose child chose not to rank Blair even though it is our home school. That's not "envy." It is taking advantage of the consortium to access a program my child is interested in. |
If they wanted to go to Blair they should have paid the cars money to be IB |
DP. The more I learn about Blair, the less "envy" I feel, especially with comments like this one. #1,467 in National Rankings, 34th within Maryland, 11 out of 30 in MCPS? It didn't even make top-100 as a Magnet school? Depending on the year, 5.5 to 8.6% of the students drop out and only 62.9% to 74.7% of the students can even apply to U of MD? And still bragging about Magnet program kids doing "envious" work because they're dragged out from other schools? These stats are not a lot to brag about. It's sad. You really need to be more humble. |
The only draw to Blair is the magnet program. Otherwise its a huge and rough school. |
But non-magnet students at Blair can also take some magnet classes, so it is a popular first choice in the DCC lottery as well. |
| I’ve had 2 kids go through Blairs Magnet, and we are VERY impressed with the History and English there! It is a great, all around school. |
DP but you're obviously someone who is impressed by rankings on paper but in actual competitions and performances, Blair is second to none. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Regeneron_Science_Talent_Search |
What did your child choose? |
The only people who think that are a small group of blair parnets... at least the ones that can speak english

Oh, the irony |
