Listening to music at night

Anonymous
Is this about using the watch at night or listening to music? My kid is 10 so no screens in her room or wats to communicate with others… but she does listen to music every night on the Alexa dot. It doesn’t have any impact on when she falls asleep and I don’t have any issue with it.

My 14 year old listens to rap, rock, classic rock…none of it keeps him up though, he’s out within 5-10 minutes usually.

If the music was keeping him up, I’d cut it.

You could get an AirPod, I love mine for music

Just get an Echo Dot for music streaming. Not that hard

Your workplace doesn't ban them?

I would do no electronics in the bedrooms, including watches. Stored in kitchen.

My 14 yr old has the same rule, everything is off at 10 on school nites. Later on Fri/Sat, depending on what is going on.

So if I were you, I’d stick to the mean 10 rule during the week. My DC is pretty accepting of it at this point…so the complaints will eventually lessen when they understand it is a just a hard stop in your household. Now I just hear complaining/negotiating on Fri /Sat, lol.

Agree. I set the rule early on and my teens are pretty accepting of it right now. However, we do phone down at 9 pm & bedtime 10pm on school nights. I have a Freshman and a Junior.
