It seems quite charged politically |
| Lol tomorrow should be fun but not this fun. |
| Loudoun’s raise looks to be 1% when you factor in insurance increases. And do they have both pension plans like FCPS? Also different number of days off. |
I am not sure that is a county-wide situation. |
FCPS is the only one with a supplemental pension plan, although the newest version is hybrid between defined benefit and defined contribution. |
Can you restate this without the hyperbole? Just the facts please. I got a headache reading this. |
Staffing is a formula provided by the county level, so I would assume that part is. Destaffing would depend on school specific enrollment though. |
We get 12 total days per school year, 5 of which are personal. If you think that is enough you must not have kids that eat I’m your leave or had to worry about maternity leave pay. There is NO paid maternity leave through fcps… there are a few weeks of short term disability that kick in only after you have taken the first 4 weeks using your own saved up leave. So if you want to be paid for the first 6 weeks after delivering a baby yoh have to save 20 days up… so about 2 years without taking a day off. |
| Paid maternity leave isn’t that common in the US (though it should be). |
| Thanks for the laugh, OP! We'll see what tomorrow brings. Reid has brought FCPS more drama, less transparency, and every person on LT is looking out for themselves. Do you have a name for the game? |
