Anyone else grossed out by social media foodies and food reviewers who eat in their cars?

I suspect OP thinks that influencers, in general, are low class and nasty.

It sounds like OP has many opinions.

Why is it low class? Do you only eat formal haute cuisine meals?

No manners, no etiquette, makes your car gross, no shame? It's classless and bottom rung. Are these people embarrassed about their dwellings, so they record stuff in their car?

Agree! It is so Ugly American to eat in one's car.

I haven't seen this trend. It's bad enough everyone taking pics of their food at restaurants.

Eating in your car is reserved for shame eating only. It makes the food taste ten times better. Getting that once a blue moon fast food and just indulging in your dark car. No cameras, no lights, no witnesses...

I don't do any social media so I have not seen any of this. I do however find food commercials on tv with people eating like pigs disgusting.

I'm grossed out by it too. I only let us eat in the car on roadtrips and it's just because I know that right after we return I'll be vacuuming the car.

I don't understand why you all have food flying everywhere just because you are in a car. What does your dining room floor look like at home?

Ewww... greasy hands all over the steering wheel and the radio? gross

Like pigs is EXACTLY how influencers and wannabe influencers record themselves eating in their cars. They exaggerated the sounds and their mouths and faces. It's so freakin' gross. And again, it's gross to even do it in the first place.

People have no shame. The defensive posts are obviously from trashy people who eat in their cars. Totally oblivious.

I love eating in my car and I’m not defensive about it at all!

There are probably elements of mukbang/ASMR(autonomous sensory meridian response) to these videos. Some people find the slurping and crunching to be stimulating yet soothing. Sort of the opposite of Misophonia with food eating sounds.

It's what Americans do, OP. They eat in theirs cars because they drive a lot. Presumably they clean their cars afterward.

I cannot judge the customs of a different culture according to my own, that would be unfair.

If they're classless, what does that make you for watching them? 🤡

I don't watch them, they show up in my feed. And even people who I follow who I thought had class do it, so I unfollow them. It's a trend.
