Geronimo Stilton (kinda mystery), I hated them but my kid loves it.
Dogman. My child learned to read with Dogman. It's silly, a graphic novel, definitely not literature but it was exciting enough to keep him going. I think he didn't know 20-30% of the words the first book, but figured them all out by book 3. Nate the Great (very easy) |
| Yes - Dragon Masters, also a series (I think from the U.K.) called Beast Quest. It has a lot of books and is really fun. |
In between the silliness of dog man is some really great storytelling about family, love and the power of forgiveness. |
