Chances are most of these kids are getting in and it was a timing mistake. The email was probably supposed to go out after the decisions were sent. |
You would not be able to accept anything — the portal did not reflect an acceptance, so there would be no way to formally accept anything. It was just an email. |
This is op, my kid applied early on as rolling decision. So when we got the email, it seemed like the timing was normal. |

The good thing, OP, is that if your kid has a 3.0 gpa or better, s/he is very likely getting the real acceptance to VCU. Frustrating, but it's probably going to work out for your kid anyway. |

| Yea it’s annoying but don’t worry - your kid will get in. They almost all do. And I’m not saying that to troll or denigrate VCU. One of my kids is a grad. |
