Also, if you haven’t seen the movie The Lobster, it has similar weird awesomeness.

Also with Colin Farrell! He's a real treasure.

Menu
Banshees of Inisherin
Glass Onion
Triangle of Sadness
White Noise

I've enjoyed all of them

The only one of those I haven't seen yet is White Noise - the others on this list are among my favorite movies of the year (except Triangle of Sadness, which I think was a little too loose and long, but I'm still glad I saw it).

I turned off White Noise after about a half hour. I just couldn't get into it and I found both Driver and Gerwig to be insufferable in this.

I watched Triangle of Sadness and I kind of liked it. I think it was billed as something that it wasn't. I found the characters unlikable but watchable. I also liked the up in the air ending.

You lasted longer than I did. It was 5 minutes of verbal noise and I'd had enough.

I thought The Menu was okay but disappointing. It was sillier than I'd expected and when we watched it as a family, honestly I fell asleep and missed the last 30 minutes. I cannot be bothered to watch what I missed, either.

I want to watch this but need to know if it’s blood and guts or just creepy?

Blood and guts, not that creepy. More absurd.

A little blood but not very much, a couple bloody injuries and deaths shown, but mostly just a creepy plot.

I absolutely got The Lobster vibes from it, but can't explain why.

The end was very unresolved for me. The character development of everyone but Anya Taylor Joy was too thin, which maybe was the point. But it was not satisfying for me.

Terrible, and not sure why anyone would find any of it "funny" or "good for a laugh"

?? They weren't characters, they were caricatures of people - terrible people - that didn't actually appreciate the artistry in the meal, but they were the only ones that could afford it.

As to the portrayal of the chef, servers, and restaurant, this NY Times article on Noma closing about sums it up:

DP I got that and felt like it was a great idea but ultimately a flop.

You clearly have not seen this movie. He looks horrible in it. All the time.

Same. So unrealistic that even chefs in the industry want to spend their last moments serving people. Everyone was very unlikeable so there was that.

I love the actors in the Banshees of Inisherin but gawd I hated that movie. The scenery was amazing but what a ridiculous, slow moving pile of shite. Jenny stole the movie. Long live Jenny.
