Loved this movie. Yes it reminded me of Squid Game and Black Mirror. Also, if you haven’t seen the movie The Lobster, it has similar weird awesomeness.
Also with Colin Farrell! He's a real treasure.
I absolutely got The Lobster vibes from it, but can't explain why. The end was very unresolved for me. The character development of everyone but Anya Taylor Joy was too thin, which maybe was the point. But it was not satisfying for me.
?? They weren't characters, they were caricatures of people - terrible people - that didn't actually appreciate the artistry in the meal, but they were the only ones that could afford it. As to the portrayal of the chef, servers, and restaurant, this NY Times article on Noma closing about sums it up: https://www.nytimes.com/2023/01/09/dining/noma-closing-rene-redzepi.html?unlocked_article_code=W5zEaCdMUvkgCP-d5DApp7TlKOg-kAZ-9hjuP7tMx2fgfGHVdlOFem9Jw46ExBh-OZ80gXOV1csJ4JlDPEgpGK_Fx9kIXVWKJa6BdwIOGUN3rncR51dAmU0r9Hz-CK779kl5126Df-_Wqdwj5JhOPvurWwDk7QgwvxtQV4E432HyHwYx39NpmQqcefZd7WrQQNCLe9kwJBj7W0MJQs_Grog3M6A0w51Gqy8aZ78Gbo60jQ15Nvnt6MRbN-fe0WMwGdrs1paLGFQU9613-S1CiLOFJ5Nmkft56k84FjtYBFeljeN-5N5cRtxelYo67D0xe1m1PF6445sHPWFHgC5NJV8&smid=share-url
