Yes and card games, esp on vacation.
It helped them with math years ago too |
| Clue! |

Yes we played lots of board games.
My college student had friends over for Monopoly over the break. |
+1 We play board games often! |
+1 We love board games and card games. Though my kids have never played Hungry Hippos before. Perhaps you had some other relatively unpopular games? Or just games that the kid hadn't played before? There are tons and tons of board games out there. |

Catan fanatics!
We built this city on rock and wheat.

| We do, but I think it's kind of weird you're passing so much judgment on a family that doesn't. There are plenty of activities to do together besides board games. It's just, like, a thing to do. It's not some requirement of raising children. |
| Yes, we lay. Usually with friends and relatives now, but during Covid lockdown my 15 year old and I played games every Sunday afternoon. It was fun. |
| Growing up adults playing board games was a rare event in my house. With my own family now, we play board games about once a month, more frequently in the cold months. Our kids are early teens and it’s something we’ve done since they were little. |
| 2 kids, one likes strategic games and the other likes cooperative games. It's a challenge to find something we all like (parents are similar in their differences in preferred games), so we take turns choosing. |
| We do play word games, but it was hard to do until our youngest was about 4. Kids younger than that tend to disrupt games, draw attention away, etc. Now that all the kids are a little more indépendant, we play all the time. Maybe the friend still has little siblings at home. |

My 13yr old has Friday night game nights at least twice a month. The kids all put their phones in a bowl in the foyer and play board games and wii games only in the basement. They have a blast.
We are a big board game family. I think we have 52 last time we checked, but we just got rid of all the preschool and elementary school games and that was really sad. Probably down to 40. Splendor, Scattagories, Taboo, and Clue are the current family favorites. For the young teen nights, Wits N Wagers, Codenames, Say Anything, Exploding Kittens, What Do You Meme, and Outburst seem to be their favorites. Oh and Balderdash. That always brings a ton of laughs. |
| We love board games. Began playing before the pandemic but during we played every night. |
| We play many with our kids, we have a scheduled game night one Friday a month. |
