I’m going to:
Completely empty bathroom, vacuum, deep scrub, wash everything, reset.
Horizontal surfaces of living/dining room.
Clean/purge coat closet.
Self clean cycle of washing machine.
Deeeeeep clean kitchen and get rid of some items I haven’t used in 2+ years.
In one day? I was thinking of taking a week off of work to deep clean (I have a lot of unused PTO and I love cleaning when the house is empty) and I'm still not sure I'd get through all of that, deep clean the whole kitchen? I'm super impressed.
I wouldn’t be impressed people have a window range now what they consider deep clean. When I deep clean my kitchen it is for a sure an entire day. I first remove everything from the cabinets. I then wipe them down inside and out, every square inch. I then wash the floor by hand, using a rag. When I got to put everything back in (pantry is a colossal job) I also wipe all of that down . The fridge gets emptied and bleached down and organized. The freezer too and that gets wiped down with bleach. Of course then we get the the oven which alone is a production, including restoring my cart iron to a mirror finish-that’s actually a 2 day affair. Of course and then there is the basic stuff like clean the counter and recaulking around the sink area and scrubbing down the backsplash. Last but not least I touch up all the kitchen paint.
Once I’m done with a deep clean of my entire house, it is so clean and organized and purged that I could Hire movers to pack me up and move the next day if needed. Each year my goal is to me ina condition that we could move without consideration.
