Bierman doesn’t seem to have done anything at the local level except be on the police commission and be active in local Democratic politics.

Fiske seems to have been much more active locally.

I will vote for Fiske. His issues are my issues. Bierman has political ambitions to run for higher office than BOS, which means he’ll throw Dranesville under a bus if that makes him more popular with other county Democrats. Fiske cares about sensible planning and the impact on local infrastructure, including schools. Bierman grew up rich and attended Sidwell; overcrowded public schools are an abstraction to him and about #998 on his list of priorities.

Bierman is a good retail politician but he doesn't give a crap about the things that matter to most Dranesville residents. All he wants to do is climb the political ladder. Fiske actually got involved because he knows the QOL in Dranesville is declining at the hands of folks like Jeff McKay, John Foust, and Elaine Tholen.
