I don't know much about Tim Scott but have liked what I have heard from him so far. I am a Biden voter but would probably vote for Hogan or Tim Scott if they managed to win the R nomination (they won't) and ran against Biden.

Tim Scott declared today, then promptly gave this interview in which he doesn’t say at all what his actual position is and lies his ass off about what Democrats were voting for.

Out of curiosity, why? Is it Biden’s age?

I'm interested in DeSantis, but my super conservative mom (much more conservative than me) called me tonight and was blabbing on and on about how Tim Scott is the guy for the GOP. She said he grew up poor, has strong values, and is consistent in his positions. She lives in Florida and is more excited about him than Trump or DeSantis, and she's very, very conservative. I hadn't paid much attention to Tim Scott because he seemed to sane and moderate to win but this is causing me to take a second look.

DeSantis/Scott would be a great combo.

Forget it. The voters simply are not going to tolerate a forced birther. A pro choice candidate is going to win in 2024. Why don't the republicans understand this?

The bar is set so low that Tim Scott is a decent GOP candidate.

I get that he's in a bind because he has to woo a Republican primary audience who don't share the general public's feelings on abortion, but that was embarrassing.

Aren’t you the Canadian?

This response gets a hard "no" on being potential presidential material

DeSantis is about to sign a 6 week abortion ban and eats pudding with his fingers.

What a bunch of nonsense. If your not pro choice, you are not going to be the president.
