| I developed preeclampsia at 34 weeks and had to have a c section at 34+3 ( he was breech) as MFM was concerned with how sudden it came on for me. Baby was born at 4 lbs 7 ozs and spent 14 days in the NICU strictly as a feeder + grower, never needing any oxygen or any support. He’s now a super healthy 7 month old chunk. The fact you are at 33 weeks is great! |
| Btdt. My advice schedule a C as soon safe ( 38 weeks) |
Can you take Benadryl while pregnant? I wouldn't take it unless it was safe (OB said it was safe) and I was having an allergic reaction. Do not take any medication during pregnancy that is not absolutely needed and take all medication as directed. I'm probably on the super cautious side but I do not take Advil, Tylenol, Neosporin, etc. I don't take anything except prenatal vitamins and an iron supplement (the latter if needed). |
You don’t use neosporin? Why not? Do you just really like infected cuts? Because I promise cellulitis is a lot worse for your baby then antibiotics cream. |
| I’ve had a stillbirth but no pre-e. What I appreciated most about my MFM during my subsequent pregnancy was that he made very clear that anytime after 32 weeks that he didn’t like what he saw, that baby would be out. He also made clear, that for my mental health, I could have a scheduled c at 37 weeks on the dot because, with my history, there was no need to be pregnant for more than absolutely necessary. So I did that, and I have a healthy elementary age kid. Good luck OP. |
I’m 1503 and my MFM even said 37 weeks for the scheduled C |
I have never had cellulitis while pregnant, but I'll take your word for it doctor? Oh right, you're not a doctor. I said I'm on the super cautious side and three healthy pregnancies later, I'm pretty happy with my choices. |
And I would definitely not take Benadryl. I'm not going to risk the health of my child for a better night of sleep. |
