GYN Examination -- tips/help appreciated

Thanks (OP here ...) ... I'm still searching for a solution, so as always, all comments/suggestions are truly appreciated.

To 23:28, It's encouraging to hear you could get through it. The idea of a practice with a midwife has crossed my mind, and I started looking into that. As with all searches for med practitioners, though, it's tough (for me) to find the courage to make the calls and actually set something up, based on past my "failure" with the examination. That most recent appointment I mentioned earlier I had to book a couple of months ahead of time (and seems most OB-GYNs are normally that busy, from what I'm finding).
So I suppose it means if I do land an appointment, I really outta stick with it (and would hope to). To ease nerves, I do wish there were more flexibility in time frame, so I could possibly switch/postpone, if I felt uncomfortable. Anyway, that's not the reality ...
