What is wrong asking about the number of kids admitted to each HYPS? OP said the outcome is outstanding.

Most scholarship kids are from middle & upper-middle class families and not the kids on cash assistance and food stamps. A kid on cash assistance and food stamps from Sidwell would be impressive.

My Sidwell senior child is not one of the lucky ones. But yes, there are a few HYP admits (just one of each has posted to the Instagram account where these things are being shared.)

I hasten to add that there is a strong correlation between these ED admits and students who "started a nonprofit" or somesuch. (At this point, I must cross-reference another active thread on this very topic). Many who have done well in ED have done just that. Being a top-of-the class excellent student from Sidwell does not appear to be enough any longer.
