Bought Wegman’s garbanzo beans—inside were cannellini beans.

The point of my post was that the mislabeled can is problematic. It’s not what I expected when I opened the can. It was too much trouble to return.

The idea of garbanzos in chili is gross but there’s no “too much trouble” about that. Email wegmans with the serial number and lot number. I’ve never heard of a cannellini allergy by my husband can’t eat kidney beans for the dietary upset they cause.

Putting any kind of beans in chili is your real mistake. Skip them next time + you won't have to worry about mislabeled cans. Your stomach + neighbors will thank you.
