Stupid. Garbanzo beans (chickpeas) have a totally different texture. I couldn’t go back do used the cannellini and probably messed up the chili. They slapped the wrong label onto the can.
The horror.
Who puts garbanzo beans in chili? Wegman’s saved your dinner.
Weird. But cannellini should still taste good.
Prank!
Cannellini beans much better in chili
Garbanzos in chili? 🤮
Who tf puts garbanzo beans in chili? You were touched by a chili angel
|
That’s a big small deal and they should recall.
It was the Can of Requirement: It gave you what you needed, not what you wanted.
Is there a point to your post? Help me understand. I can be a bit obtuse.
lol yes! |

The chili turned out fine. Recipe called for 2 cans of garbanzo beans mashed lightly in a food processor for texture. 2 cans of kidney beans. I already had one can at home so that gave enough texture. It was a Serious Eats vegetarian chili.
The point of my post was that the mislabeled can is problematic. It’s not what I expected when I opened the can. It was too much trouble to return. |
That is a really bad mistake. Please report it. For allergic people it can lead to tragedy.
