Of course he's going to pick and choose the people on this panel to be people who already have opinions that align with what DeSantis wants. Republicans have decided that attacking vaccines/masks etc is still a winning political message. It's the only defense they have when you look at the actual statistics and see that Republican counties and states have a much higher death toll from Covid. Desantis is especially vulnerable to this, as the Delta variant just devastated Florida in 2021.
You can see this on twitter now, as the platform has been overrun with antivaxers. I'm sure this is a message which appeals to the GOP's foreign backers too, as it's a good way to divide us while weakening our country at the same time by creating distrust in vaccines. And attacking the scientific/medical establishment is one the favorite tools of an authoritarian. |

Florida is losing home insurance companies will to do business in the state left and right. People are facing huge rate increasing on those remaining, which mean more people will depend on state sponsored insurance which means higher pay outs with increasing hurricanes. |
