I’m in surgical menopause and that’s a whole other ball of wax, but: testosterone cream and a small THC edible work well for me. I also take a lot of estrogen orally, but that’s because I have to. HRT (estrogen + testosterone) will help a lot for libido. For vaginal atrophy, a prescription vaginal cream or tablet (called vagifem), will help. |
You don't find oral estrogen makes you feel gross? I did two frozen embryo transfers, one with oral and another with the patch and the patch was much easier to tolerate for me. |
No, but that’s maybe because I have no other source of it in my body. It’s a high dose - 3mg - which translates to a 1.5 patch. I didn’t absorb the patch well, was allergic to the adhesive in it and had issues with the other delivery methods too. So a pill it is. Although if you’re in regular perimenopause, I think most docs will have you try transdermal methods first - patch or gel. |
